Cybersecurity: Ralph Yirikian visits the 4th edition of API’s training session

Armenia Peace Initiative (API) has launched the 4ᵉ edition of its cybersecurity training course, in collaboration with the French University of Armenia (UFAR) and EIF – Enterprise Incubator Foundation. This intensive programme, led by two renowned French experts, Sébastien Barguirdjian, cybersecurity lecturer at the University of Rennes-Saint Malo, and Nicolas Renard, Cloud Architect at Orange, runs from 24 February to 21 March 2025.

The course is designed to enhance the skills of professionals faced with the growing challenges of cybersecurity. It is aimed at key players in strategic sectors – businesses, banks, public institutions and sensitive ministries – providing them with the tools and methods they need to anticipate, identify and effectively counter cyber threats.

Ralph Yirikian, Director of Ucom, keynote speaker on cybersecurity

As part of this training, Ralph Yirikian, CEO of Ucom, was the guest of honour on a special day within this API-UFAR training session on March 1, 2025. In addition to a keynote, the day also included an interactive discussion on the challenges of cybersecurity in the world of business and telecommunications. Drawing on his experience in the field, he shared key analyses of current threats and protection strategies tailored to businesses.

“In the 21stᵉ century, understanding cybersecurity is not just a choice, it is an obligation and a responsibility. It is only by strengthening our knowledge that we will be able to withstand the challenges and threats of the digital world. That’s why I’m delighted to be taking part in this training course and sharing my experience of the fundamental role of cybersecurity in the telecoms industry.” – Ralph Yirikian said.

During his visit, our trainers, Sébastien Barguirdjian and Nicolas Renard, presented the objectives and pedagogical focus of the cybersecurity training session set up by API and UFAR. Through their innovative teaching methods, they emphasise an immersive approach, combining theory and real-life situations, to ensure that participants develop their skills effectively.
